How it works

The WSB900 operates by generating high-frequency alternating magnetic fields that induce eddy currents in conductive non-ferrous metals. These eddy currents generate targeted force pulses that deflect the metal particles from the material stream.

Unlike conventional eddy current separators, separation does not take place in a straight ejection direction, but via a unique lateral deflection caused by an eddy current barrier. This minimises disruptive air currents and enables significantly more precise separation.

The result is exceptionally high separation accuracy – even with the smallest particles and in the ultra-fine grain range.

Scope of application

The WSB900 is used wherever the highest purity and precise separation of non-ferrous metals are required. Typical applications include fine processing following the sorting table and the post-cleaning of material streams.

The system is particularly suitable for sectors such as electronic waste recycling, cable processing, car shredding, metal shavings or battery recycling. By processing particle sizes in the range of 0.1 to 10 mm, the WSB900 also opens up applications in the ultra-fine particle range where conventional systems reach their limits.
